The Meteorology track is one of five tracks inside the Applied Geography B.S., housed in the Department of Geographic and Environmental Sciences. It is built for students headed toward operational meteorology — broadcast, National Weather Service, private-sector forecasting, or research — and its course sequence is designed to meet NOAA's education requirements for federal meteorologist positions.

1. Physics and calculus start in year one, alongside an introductory weather-and-climate course.
2. The core sequence moves from observation and analysis (ENVS 305) through thermodynamics and dynamics (ENVS 370, 366) into mesoscale, synoptic, and satellite/radar applications.
